A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was wondering what supplements and alternative therapies others have used. I know from personal experience that adding the right supplements is extremely beneficial. I was even taken off a high dose of naproxen after I started using supplements. I find that a combination of Homeopathic and Western medicine combined work best to treat fibro. Rx's alone are not enough and often have nasty side effects, such as a 30 lb weight gain on Lyrica. I have yet to have a negative side effect from… read more

This has helped--drink Yogi energy tea and take one Swanson timed-release energy boost pill every morning. They both help fight fatigue until around 1 to 3p and help with the ache in the morning. At night, I use Bio-freeze on my legs and where else needed.

I was low in vitamin d so increased the dose of vit d3 I was on. Also magnesium malate, also called malic acid, was the recommended type of magnesium for fibro. Also b 12. I do take Low dose of amitriptyline and does seem to help with sleep. I will take tramadol and ibuprofen when I'm in a flare

I stared taking the Super B Complex, it's good for stress and energy. Also, probiotics are good for the digestive system.

I find that there’s no one magic solution, but when I am present and mindful it helps. In addition, I practice yoga as often as I am able. I take Multi-vitamin, D3 25000 IU, Methyl B-12, Vit. C 600mg, Magnesium Citrate 400 mg, Elderberry, Oregano, and mushroom extracts: Cordyceps, Maitake, and Chaga.
Every morning I have blueberry chocolate smoothie.
Getting adequate sleep is my biggest hurdle.
