@A MyFibroTeam Member yes the vivid nightmares is also a side effect of getting off of Cymbalta. It's hard to explain to someone that has never had them....very scary. @A MyFibroTeam Member not everyone has a hard time getting off Cymbalta, be thankful you are able to stop without having problems. There is a Facebook group Called " Cymbalta Hurts Worse" that has over 5,000 member, they are on there trying to wean off Cymbalta. Some people have such a hard time they end up in the hospital some people take their own life, it has ruined several people's life. I think there should be more warnings for it and doctors shouldn't be so fast to put patients on it.
I actually found out I had Sjogrens, about a yr. before I found out I had Fibro. So have had both for many years.
I have been taking Cymbalta for approx 8 or 9yrs now, originally for depression with the hope that it would help the fibromyalgia, being nerve pain as well. I have to say though that I feel no bad effects on it & I do think it helps. If I can't take it for a few days for whatever reason, then I feel awful & experience the most terrifying dreams that seem so real, they really are macabre. Scarey stuff
I was on it before for the Fibro and depression, my Neurologist put me back on it for nerve pain in my foot. It helps. I never had a problem stopping it the first time.
@A MyFibroTeam Member does it help? If you start feeling worse or getting new symptoms it could be the Cymbalta, that's what happened to me. Be very carful if you get off of it, the withdrawals can be HORRIBLE for some people π¨
