Fibro Pain Vs. Other Pain
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

How can you tell if your pain is the normal fibro pain, or pain that you should be concerned about, like strep throat? I always have sore throats, and often worry that it is strep, but it never is. Any suggestions on being able to tell the difference or is there no way to tell?

Ask for a referral to an ent specialist and ask them to take a look for evidence of reflux burning.
I say this as not one day EVER in my life through two pregnancies or ever have I ever had acid reflux but I would keep waking up with such sore throats I couldn't breathe and no voice ....
It turned out that during the night the acid was burning up my throat and that was the sole reason. I'm now on a drug called lansoprazole and I've not had another one since 💕 good luck x

You might want to see an gastroenterologist. I have GERD very badly. I take deltilant every morning. I know to stay away from certain foods. It's horrible when the acid reflux comes back up.

I dont think there is really a way to tell....the signals are the same, just more active with a flare.
