Is Flatulence Part Of Fibromyalgia?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I know its a strange question, as i never used to suffer with it, only since finishing some treatment i was having 6years ago. But since then i have certain tolerance to foods i used to love, certain meals i have to go the toilet within 2minutes of eating it such as spaghetti bolognese, beans on toast etc. Plus i can always feel a build up of gas inside my stomache on the left side, it causes me pain most of the time or until its released which is rather embarrassing but more often that it used… read more

I also had anorexic/bulimic tendencies in my youth and have also been struggling with painfully embarrassing IBS for the last 7 years or so. Like having food poisoning at any random time. I hate leaving the house and no longer have any social life whatsoever. I struggle mentally and physically with this every day 😞. So, I can probably sympathise with you. xXx

I'd never thought of that, I've had IBS for a number of years now, just before I went of sick it was so bad it was embarrassing, most days I'd be in and out of loo and put it this way, I wouldn't fancy going in after me. I'd had 2 bouts of a bug going round quite close one another. About 30years ago I had a twisted bowel which was removed, but it had settled back down. Also anorexia I used a lot of laxatives over the years, but about 6years since then. As with most things I've put various problems down to my past catching up with me. So I'd also find it interesting. Know we all suffer in slightly different ways. But you do wonder how and why sometimes?

Add probiotics and digestive enzymes to your supplements. Will help regulate digestion.

. If pain on right side, have doc check your gall bladder..i had emergency surgery earlier this year to have it removed.

Google list of foods to avoid for ibs n fibro.

I suffer from IBS too. I'm trying a low FODMAPs diet. I'm avoiding gluten (wheat), lactose and soya. Maybe, you should look into this. And talk to your doctor.

Oh yes, I have this. I was diagnosed with IBS and Diverticulitis. Be sure to talk to Doc about it. I eat more fiber and take fiber supplements. I stay away from certain foods and eat less at a setting. I bought a good IBS book as well. Hope this helps. Keep on keeping on. Gentle hugs, Cindy
