I went to see rheumatologist a few days ago who finally diagnosed me and he told me he was referring me to somebody else I'm not sure who or what this could be does any one have any ideas as to what it may be. He also discharged me there and then. I'm curious as I have no clue as to what will be done for me next. I'm on no prescribed pain killers etc. Apart from my depression and anxiety pills. I would call the office back and tell them the truth and ask them what the follow up is. They can find out. I take anti depressants and have read they can help a little even though they mainly for depression. I also take an anti inflammatory for pain. And extra strength Tylenol only on very bad days. That's all the pain killers. Yeah usually sore and aching. I just pace and try to keep it down so much.

@A MyFibroTeam Member I'm going to guess either the butrans patch, the fentanyl patch or a big white one worn for 12 hours at a time called lydocaine... Xx all are explained on my site under medications xx and I have been on the butrans for four years x

Thank you yes this helps I will book an appointment with my gp see what he says but obviously after years of complaining with various pains and problems my gp doesn't have much education on fibromyalgia. They really should try and educate more on it. Thanks.

He may have referred you onto Pain Management as once rheumatology have not found anything else wrong with you that's usually when they diagnose fibromyalgia and refer you onto pain management coz there is no further help they can give you. Pain management are responsible for the prescribing of your medications and treatments to try and help you manage living with this terrible illness.hope this helps
