Legs
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I got discharged from physical therapy 2 weeks ago because I was doing good. I've been keeping up with the exercises.
However the last few days my legs top to bottom r killing me. I can feel the knots in my legs. My boyfriend offered to rub them n he could barely touch me at all. .

Why do I have knots everywhere. N what can I do?

Whenever I exercise my legs more than normal, my muscles are sore, mostly painful. I have a bad knee which hurts the most. And then I suffer extreme fatigue for a few days. So, exercise is a trap. Warm - hot bath soaks are my go-to for relief and the heating pad. Try hot soaks with epsom salts and heating pad. Knots can be relieved and cured with regular massage, but that is expensive.

I get the knots all the time. My massage therapist puts hot rocks on them to get the tension in them to release so she can massage them away. From that I would assume any moist heat would be helpful. They are very painful at times. I think the knots in my shoulders and back are permanent fixtures. Gentle stretches help me to work out the pain. Also doing some mild exercise helps. For my legs I usually walk not pushing to go fast.

Magnesium does help me and I also take vitamin d since I have a deficiency. It seems a lot of hospital workers have low vitamin D. So the two together and good old pain meds. I also rub the knots out with my knuckles well I hold pressure on them till they release. It hurts like heck but it's better after. I live with my heating pad on my neck and legs at bedtime. Seems that any where I hurt responds to heat. I can't stand cold
