Has anybody have the spinal stimultor implant done? Does it work for you? I finally have a surgeon that will do it, just checking if anyone had some feedback on the stimultor?
Sorry Paula that's one bad accident I don't know how you do it each day!!
Have you tried an external tens unit? Did it help? This works the same except you can just take it off & put it away.
My grandmother had one. Worked great at first then she had a lot of complications. Ended up having it removed because it did more harm than good. Hoping you have a good experience with whatever you choose
I don't have one but knew a close friend who did. He still ended up needing oral medications and was out of work a very long time.
I have had 4 spine corrections following an auto accident. I have cages and screws at my L-5/S1. That's the lowest part of your spine. I also had them break off my coccyx because the crash broke it to a point. I couldn't sit, felt like it would push through my skin. I've also had a mediport inserted for easier access of IV antibiotics. (I've had 11 surgeries, only one was voluntarily). I would always keep surgery for last resort, because no matter the procedure, you never quite return to the state you are in beforehand, for better or worse...
Good luck with your Fibro journey, sending many Warm hugs
