I'm seriously considering saving up to buy a TENS unit for home use - I've used them during physio therapy before and they helped me a lot. Has anyone else got their own TENS unit/used a TENS unit and felt it benefited them?
I'm just curious as to what others think, I don't think answers will change my decision in getting my own.
I love my tens unit! I carry it in my purse and can use it anywhere and anytime. It's like a personal masseuse!
Love mine, have used it off/on for over 20 years (not the exact same unit that whole time) and my wife got a really cool one recently that has all sorts of attachments that auto position pads for various parts of the body. Although, occasionally I've found it triggered nerve pain rather than relieving it. Tens usually helps but will randomly be problematic, so I tend to save it as more of a last resort. Wish I could figure out why it flip flops on me sometimes so I could be confident on when to not use it.
Most definitely!!! I love my TENS unit. A lot of insurance companies will pay for them. If not in your case, it may help to know that the cost of the units has come down a lot lately.
Use mine 3-4 tunes per week. FM us not going to go away so to me I got my machine sooner rather than later. It's good at work as nobody knows it's on :)
I have Dr. Ho's type of "tens" machine. I find it helpful, depending on how tense, tight and knotted your muscles are. It is not overly expensive.
