Natural Remedies, Chinese Medicine Experience?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone tried natural remedies, if so what and experience? Or Chinese medicine? Thinking of going to a herbalist and trying Chinese meds. Pain pills make me feel so yuck and not working . Lyrica works for burning pain. I've tried acupuncture but that seems to hurt more the next day. Like all trying to find some sort of relief.

I have found that High doses of Omega three fish Oil is very helpful with pain management. I may not have had the kind of pain some may be having but I remember thinking I was in such pain that it made sense to end it all.. Truly, if I had not had any significant people in my life, I think I would no longer be here. I said all of that to say this. Keep searching for what may help you because I stumbled upon something that literally saved my life. I also take magnesium for severe muscle spasms, and vitamins D, B, and C. and a multivitamin. Praying for your relief.

Glad to know about the acupuncture. I haven't tried it, but it has been suggested. I just could not bring myself to try it when I alrdy have pain sensitivity to touch. I have essential oils tht I use topically. I have not tried any Chinese herbs. You are right--the meds start to feel like you are poisoning your system/toxic after a while and they cause problems too. SIDE EFFECTS. I have 13 prescription drugs and 12 supplements tht I take...and nothing has chgd or improved my illness. I despise taking meds.

i can't take any meds.. i have tried acupuncture too and makes me fall asleep bad i am so tired after. i went to one when i first got it and he took away the burning stabbing pain but then he moved to new york. the acupuncturist i have seen after gave some chinese stuff when i first came in her office but i am not sure where else to get them. plus most insurance don't cover. i have been fighting for disabilty and i don't know how i can get better natural help without being able to work. but i recently learned about epstein barr virus and everything is related. so it is recommended to eat certain fruits and veggies more and cut out gluten and dairy for a while. to see if you feel any better. there is still no cure but i am all for natural

yeah, same here with the physical therapy. i do love massages but i hurt for like a week after. i usually tell them ahead of time but it's something that i don't do often cause i can't afford it. When unless either i get on disability finally or miraculously heal somehow and/or am able to work a paying job that allows me to, it's not an option.
