A couple of months back, I asked the exact same question you did. I was having a hard time swallowing pills. It felt like my throat had shrunk and there was something always stuck there!
After I read your question I realized with out even thinking about it that I no longer have this problem. There are two symptoms that have totally disappeared. Difficulty swallowing and fibro fog. And I had fibro fog the same as most people describe on this site. I couldn't think of words at times and forgot simple every day things. The only thing that I have done different is that I have taken myself off of all fibro meds. The only thing I am taking is one percocet every other day. Percocet really helps but I have chosen to never take more, and never break from my routine. I still have pain everyday, but not an increase in pain since I have stopped the drugs.
I'm certainly not saying that this is the answer because as we all know, everyone is different and what works for one may not work for another.
It's just something that has changed for me.
I know exactly how you feel and it can be a bit scary sometimes.
I wish you well and I hope it will pass soon.
