I Have Recently Suffered A Stroke, Can Anyone Tell Me If They Have Had One And If Their Doctor Has Told Them It Could Be Related To Fibro?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm 28 yrs old I have recently suffered some sort of stroke and I can't get my head around as to why this has happened to me. After talking to my doctor and saying about me having fybro and my other health problems. He has told me it could be linked to fybro. I am hoping someone out there can help with this and find out if anyone else has also been through this or something like it?

Many Thanks Kylie 😊Xx

I am very interested in this. I started out with doctors thinking that I had MS because they found 15 brain lesions. Come to find out they were caused by mini strokes. I just saw a rheumatologist that thinks I may have an auto immune disorder that causes too much blood clotting. I am still waiting for the results. So to answer your question yes sort of. I am 35. Too young for this also.

Thank you both for answering my question.
I was out for the day with my family and on the way home and my mouth started to feel funny I couldn't drink my drink couldn't suck a sweet (it felt numb) I got home and I started feel worse then my speech started going funny so my hubby called ambulance. My speech is still bad I can't process words/ forget what I'm saying. My mobility is very poor I loose balance a lot, get very tired fast. I was discharged after a week told I would need to see speech theorpy, neurologist, physio.... I'm still waiting to see all these.

This has scared the life out of me I never expected this at 28 I was just coming to terms with having fibro and my other health issues this has made them a lot worse.
It will be interesting to see what I get told as you both have different stories. Obviously everybody Is different, I also find different doctor can say very different things.
