I filed in 2013 and have been denied once. I got a lawyer and she is waiting for a hearing date. My health is such that she tried to get the hearing waived but they said there was not enough evidence. So still waiting. In the mean time my husband is working like a dog and we still can't meet all of our bills. Has anyone else experienced this. Is there hope?
I know maybe you don't want to but how about applying for Medicaid? there is also a state insurance program, or at least that is true here in the US. There are food pantries and in some places are free stores or at least stores where the cost of clothes are low. Talk, at least here in the US, to your local social services to start. Good luck.
Yes, there is hope. Don't give up on it. I was lucky & got mine w/ in 6 months of filing about 7 yrs ago. I know a few people who are going thru the same thing you are. I think they are so backed up w/ cases they can't keep up. Just keep going for it. It took my brother alittle over 3 yrs to get his approved.
I think I was lucky. I believed I failed a psychological exam. I was denied SSDI and had appealed. Went for a psychological evaluation and then my disability was approved.
Fibro is now a recognized disability but impossible to get disability. I've been fighting for 5 years.
I'm in the same spot. Waiting for a hearing. I did get a letter asking if I would do a tv conference with my lawyer n the judge. They said it will happen sooner.
I'm just hoping with all of my conditions I get it. I've heard that it's very very hard if u only have fibro. Best of luck
