What medications do you guys think help battle the chronic pain from fibromyalgia?
I don't like caniboids (I get sick from them, and hemp products). I take opiates when I must. I take daily 5000iu Vitamin D which helps a lot (it takes a while to really kick in, but it helps. If you are allowed to take NSAIDs (I cannot), Aleive is very good (naprocin). Pillows when you are sleeping between the knees or under the knees really help (me) and a pillow elevating my head and back help too. I take enough meds to dull the pain but no more than that because otherwise I am out of it. People say gluten-free (completely) helps a lot but I have been gf for so long, I don't really know if it helps or not. But, if I eat gluten, I am usually in more pain.
Good luck!
I find that the opiates work the best. I was also on steroids for a week and I felt like a normal person afterwards but you can't take it long term. Let me know if the cannabis works.
I've used an opioid for several years now. I've had two increases in dosage in that time. I'm ready to increase it again but I would prefer to get off the medication instead. Presently, I'm testing a variety of cannabis strains. If its successful in reducing the fm symptoms, I'll be weaning off the pharmaceuticals.
I was prescribed Lyrakane... dont think i spelled that right.
After many different trial and error attempts with my doctor, I'm now on Butrans 20s, with hydro cod one as needed.
