I'm just wondering if anyone has sued as a result of a car accident and developed fibro? If so, how did it go for you? I'm in the process of suing as my fibro has gotten much worse since a car accident in 2014.
I was in 4 MVA's and sued for 2 of them . The first one took 9 years to settle and was very stressful because of the fact I was not well. I had Fibro, and was quite depressed going through it. When I compare my losses, my health and my career, I got very little. The second one took 21 years, there was 3 law firm changes, a lawyer died and on and on. It went to mediation and the settlement asked for was cut to 1/3 . It also was very stressful. I had no problem getting my CPP disability and I think it was because of the depression more than the Fibro. My Psychiatrist filled out the forms and they were never questioned. I also just applied for the Federal Tax Credit and again my Psychiatrist filled out the forms and they allowed me to go back 10 years. Hope this helps you and if you have any specific questions please feel free to ask.

Mental and physical abuse are a trauma and defiantly can bring FM on too bad you can't sue that poor excuse of a ... &$%# ...
but you know hun always remember that it will come back to him never think it won't
I also suffered abuse and know how you feel.. you are a survivor not a victim.. karma is a B.....

Nope--no car accident for me--just an very physically abusive 1st husband. Wish I could sue him.
Once again when I mentioned this to my "doctor" he dismissed it completely. Oh no--couldn't be that, you are just holding on to old memories. Ha
I sued and won not because the accident gave me fibro but because it made it worse I was able to work up until the accident. Since the accident I have never been the same the pain just wont get better.
I developed Fibro about 5 years after my accident, I am pretty sure it was a result of the accident, but would be difficult to prove. I am now retired and happy. But I wish you luck an hope you get what you rightfully deserve. Hugs and pain free days to you.
