Sharp Pain In My Head That Radiated To The Left Side Of My Neck
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hope everyone had a great Sunday. I had a question and wondered if anyone has experienced what I did. I got a sharp stabbing pain in the right frontal lobe of my brain that shot to my left side of my neck. Now my whole neck hurts and have a headache in the front part of my head.

I have shootings pains in my head all the time and when we have an odd pain for the first time we cause ourselves to worry and may get a headache from the worry, if it doesn't cause your eyes to blur or the next time it happens use a heat wrap around your neck and if that helps then mostly it's from the Fibro all in please mention it to your pcp

Yesterday I experienced that for the 1st time, it really scared me and my husband I thought I was having a stroke but because it was a very familiar pain, so just like when it happens in the other areas , I just waited it out instead of running to the emergency room, it eventually went away. I guess I'm glad I was right. Lol. That could've been a very serious problem. I pay close attention to the locations, degree of and length of time the pain stays. It helps.
Gentle hugs 💜

I hope you are better! I am praying it was nothing serious. My brother had the same problem. He has the same genetic disorder on his white blood cells I do. My sister and brother had krons. I am lucky I do not have that.

Yes! It's awful I know. You kinda have to let it run its course but sometimes it effects my vision. Try ibuprofen and a heating pad and lay down. Keep stocked up on heating pads ice packs and ibuprofen.

Here's how I would have reacted, years ago, OMG I have a brain tumor. I told them I don't have fibromyalgia. Now I just say oh well another fibromyalgia problem. I do have a friend who has temporal arthritis. She get horrible headaches. I hope you get testing done to rule out abnormal diagnosis before accepting fibromyalgia diagnosis.
