My fibro was blamed on growing pains throughout my entire childhood and into young adulthood. I understand that growing pains are a legitimate thing but I think assuming every ache and pain in someone aged 10-20 is not a good idea. It was very frustrating growing up and being invalidated by every doctor.
The more I have learnt about Fibro the more I am sure I have had it for most of my life especially after brain surgery at 16. Sadly my sister is showing signs now as did our late grandma who had lots of the symptoms but died before it was well known about.
I'm pretty sure my mom had it...and I had "growing pains" and exhaustion as a kid (and was always sick)..my kids seem to have it also, though not diagnosed. Now, my question is is it because of the many antibiotics we had been on? My Naturopath thinks I have candida (tongue is white) and leaky gut. I just went in for food allergy tests, etc.. so we shall see if that's added to it.
Not sure if it is hereditary, But what I can say is that my oldest and first born daughter has it. She is grown now and is on this website with us.
I think my mom had it and think my dtr has it
