I am hoping to get pregnant soon, I am on codeine, nortriptyline, fluxcoetine and omeprozole. Am I still about to take these medication? Will it effect the baby? What is pregnant like with fibromyalgia? I have heard that it's bad after pregnancy, so if you have to stop your medication how long after giving birth can you start your medication again?
Many thanks
Also talk to your pharmacist as they know all about the drugs you are taking, even more knowledge than doctors. My only thoughts are once the baby has arrived that you will need lots of rest. So when the baby sleeps try to rest also. Good luck, have fun and enjoy the little one.
I took those and then some throughout two pregnancies... Yes your Dr will advise that you try to cut down on things but if you're not comfortable then don't. My two beautiful healthy babies are now 3&4 and are very intelligent and very tall xx
I won't sugarcoat the pain levels will increase but the joy you'll have afterwards is so so worth it xxx
That's a very wise question to ask before you get pregnant. I'd defintely ask your dr. And you could Google the side effects of those medications. A lot of people who have fibro have had babies and have learned how to manage. God bless you on your journey. Perhaps someone who has been through this experience will respond to you. Hugs-Em
Thank you!
