Does Anyone Else Struggle With Flatulence?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Does anyone else struggle with flatulence? Not necessarily "passing gas" but lately I have had this awful pain in my stomach and chest where "wind" gets stuck and does not want to release. It is painful and at times it wakes me in my sleep.
If anyone has advice on this, please share. It is really getting to become a drag!

it may be due to meds as already suggested, especially if you're recently on something new, but you may also have IBS.
Especially as you mention chest pain, this would be due to sensitisation of the intestine, and pain can be as high up as lung level. next time you get this, get some gaviscon from your local pharmacist.
You should also go and see your doc.

Thank you. I will ask my doctor. Maybe it is the same. :)

My doctor said it was the tablets irritating the lining of my stomach, she put me on gastro tablets which I take once a day and the pain has gone
