From what I understand it is similar to a "cold plunge" only in a controlled environment. I have not tried it and probably will not due to the fact that an environmental doctor told me to find a sauna and a way to "sweat" because that will impact the mitochondria which is the heart of our cells. This is based on a philosophy that FM is excess lactic acid in our bodies which cause pain. I have had a friend who goes to the tanning beds with weak light bulbs to get the benefit of sweating without working out since due to the pain working out to that extreme is not an option anymore. I try to walk 15 minutes a day and that is all I can physically do. I figure I am in pain when I sit, lie down or walk so I might as well walk. Loves
Oh goodness I can't bear any coldness not even the fridge deepfreeze. The tanning seems a good thing just don't need skin cancer?. I just use the shaker machine and for my arms I use a rubber band bought from a physio. This helps when I'm done I'm exhausted but happy with my exercises. I hope this can help someone.
Chryotherapy is where you go in a cylinder like machine and they use nitrogen to decrease the temp for two to three minutes to subzero and it's suppose to release the to ins from the blood stream and allow fresh clean oxygen into the tissues . It's used in sport injuries inflammation issues and many elite sport participants use it for healing to decrease inflammation and speed recovery. It's suppose to help people with fibro. You can google it and it will explain it and show video.
Brrrrrr
Thank you Sherylfarawayskies. I did google it and also another member has shared info from her personal experience with it as well. I'm almost ready to try it.
