I have just started taking pre-gabalin, second week, and slowly building up the dose age, I was wondering how others have managed with it. I've tried gabapentin for the last 12mths up to the maximum dose but the usefulness was short lived.
I have taken lyrica for a few times for different issues, but for a year and a half currently for my fibro symptoms. I take 100mg am, 100mg afternoon if needed, and 200mg at bedtime with 40mg of duloxetine. I don't think I could move without my lyrica. I still feel pain, but it's not debilitating. I also go to an LMT regularly to keep my muscles loose-ish.. I had no luck on gabapentin/neurontin . It made me behave like I was severely drunk. Hope this helps.
Yes, had weight gain stayed on a low dose for years because any higher made me dizzy etc..it really does help with pain but..be very careful if you experience side effects I would request different meds they will need increased until they are effective it's almost as if our bodies brake it down different and have double tolerance, or maybe it's because we have severe pain heightened..but I ended up waking up not able to speak had a severe reaction not listed on the nerve endings!! Forgetfulness, confusion ,memory document, document anytime you feel forgetful or if ppl start to notice..4 years it built up released at once...I'm lucky to be here...but again it does help IF you can tolerate it I had it as part of a regimen for years...
I try lyrica my self..it help some, but a gain more weight that is really help for my painπ
I take Lyrica for my fibro and one other problem. I take 100mg in morning and 100mg at night and if I need it 10mg of Norco. I use heading pad and a sock buddy that helps with the pain.
I have been taking Lyrica for the past year or so. I started on 300mg twice a day and found it, together with Panadol osteo, helped quite a bit. Over the past 2 or 3 months I have been weaning down the dosage and currently take 75mg in the morning and 150 mg at night. My GP has suggested that I wean off it if possible. I also take cymbalta which has helped with depression as well as fibro symptoms. I also take celebrex for arthritis and can't sleep more than a few hours if I don't take Endep 50mg at night. It sounds like a lot, but is much less that I was taking 2 years ago. Feeling quite well at the moment with the current medication.
