Are there any other Veterans here? Do you go to VA for care?

I am a veteran and I went to the VA (St. Louis) for awhile and was very dissatisfied. They basically told me there's nothing they can do. I had a really hard time getting them to let me see the Rhuematologist, but they eventually let me go there. I really liked her, but she too said there isn't anything they can do to help, they won't even help me manage the pain. So I gave up on them and go to a family practice doctor in town. I hope you filed a disability claim for Fibro and any other conditions you have, you will get at least 40% and maybe some additional benefits. Let me know if you need more information on this.

My Rheumatologist told me to go to a therapist. I wish I could go back to my pain shots in my back, but can't until I get this wound fixed.

Sanbry- Maybe next yr when I can file for Medicare- I will be able to go to Rhuemitologist - I didn't even know the VA had any- mentioned headaches and was told they didn't have anyone I could see about those. Pain management they want to send you to mental health- made me mad but I didn't say anything- I did switch primary dr. sometimes I think why did I come?
