I have this exact problem. Real ban pain in my right jaw, goes into my neck and shoulder, clench my jaw and grind my teeth. also tense my shoulders and neck. I'm getting a mouthguard fitted march 1st. So happy.

@A MyFibroTeam Member I have TMJ along with fibro also. I clench my jaws at night and in the day when stressed. I have to actually remind myself during the day to stop and open my mouth to relax my jaws. My ears ring very loud all the time. It's stressful.

I did the same thing and they were made for me and I payed a lot for them. It was OK when I was awake, but I'd wake up and have thrown them out.

Yes, I have had this happen more than once and yes, it is extremely painful! I can feel it in the back of my throat, and it seems to radiate down my spine in my back. I don't know the reason for it tho. It's scary!

I've found cheap mouth guards at the drugstore. They're a bit bulky but you boil them and then fit them to your mouth. I have a small mouth so I've cut away most of the plastic. My oroblem is I must take it out and throw it across the room in my sleep because that's where I find it when I wake up. Lol.
