Swelling In Legs And Hand
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Has anyone developed swelling in both legs and in one hand? 10 months ago I weighed 145lbs now I weigh 204lbs. I exercise, go to the gym and go mountain biking even if I am in pain cause my PCP told me to keep exercising that it will help. Well I feel exhausted after exercising so much that I have to take a nap. I have to wear short socks ease if I wear longer socks it leaves an indentation.

I too have swelling in the legs and my cardio doc said it is fluid so he put me on fluid pill then I found out my sleep apnea machine needed to be at a higher level when I sleep since it was put higher the swelling has disappeared and the fluid pills I don't take anymore the only time I swell is when I eat to much salty foods so I switched to Mrs. Dash in my food and has seen a great difference no more swelling for almost a year

I had the same swelling with my feet and hands and was diagnosed with arthritis (in addition to Fibro). It was so painful I struggled to walk. Now on meds for this. Ask your doctor to do tests for arthritis

I posted earlier, you all might want to see a cardio dr so they can do a scan on your legs. They should not be swelling like that. Ive been thru all that myself.

If I don't sit with my legs propped up in a recliner, my legs swell with hours.

I'm on neurontin and gain 25 lbs this past year. That's why I'm weening off & trying something new. If lyrica causes the same, I'll b sure to avoid that one as well!
