A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I suffer from severe headaches my consultant has recommended having Botox injections into my head. Has anyone else been offered these? Do they help?

I had botox for my chronic migraines. It worked great in my migraines but made my face sag and feel like it was falling off. My body had a bunch of reactions because of it. For me it wasn't a great fit for everything but the migraines. Also they didn't tell me til after the first shot when it hurt like hell that if you have a headache or migraine when they do it the first injection hurts bad ....for about a week. You also don't notice much but the pain for a week then it kicked in. I hope if you do it your reaction is better then mine!

I take Botox but for a different issue. They can wear off anywhere from 3 to 6 months, some people can even go longer before they need them again. I know there are a lot of people who take them for migraines.
