Has anyone had success with chiropractic care while having fibromyalgia? I have been to a chiropractor for many many years for pain and injuries in competitive cheerleading and dance, and I absolutely love it. I have not been since I have started getting worse. I was surprisingly diagnosed last week when I went to a rhumetologist for a whole different disease they had originally thought of. I definitely think it depends on the chiropractor and his/her individual approach! My chiropractor is very gentle, uses heat packs and electode therapy, and then does a couple of manual adjustments usually to my back and neck. He also genuinely cares about each individual patient to a level that I've rarely seen--he even personally called the day after my first appointment to check in on me! And he's a very busy man so that felt really special. Anyway! My point is, that yes every patient is different (as @A MyFibroTeam Member pointed out) and so is every doctor!
I felt wonderful after seeing my chiropractor he was great and would tell me not to scrub the floors just because I feel better. I couldn't afford him for the last few mo tha so I stopped seeing him and the pain came right back.
