I came across this YouTube video on adrenal fatigue which was very eye opening. It's long but very interesting.Doctor explains how endocrine system imbalance is what drives fibromyalgia and associated symptoms. My GI doc called it "hypersympathetic syndrome" so I could never find a good explanation until my Naturalpathic Doctor (who has FM) explained FM as adrenal fatigue and I finally have a plan get myself better.
So what is your plan? Maybe you could help us all by telling us!
@Josnhouckham. I'll repost my "plan" here for you. Hope you fine something useful. My Rhuematologist said "FM is caused by nerves". And my naturalpathic doctor who has FM says "chronic pain/ stress causes overstimulation of adrenal glands (adrenal fatigue) which leads to FM and other associated conditions but not all FM patients have adrenal fatigue ".
Got IV push of glutathione (http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/530494) today at naturalpathic MD along with sub cutaneous injections of D5W (dextrose water) all along trigger points. (Neural prolotherapy) I feel full of energy and no pain. Stopped cymbalta last week was too sedating for me, lyrica was a fail for me--too dizzy. Got PT to help with strengthening arms and reducing neck pain. Stil need to talk to spine surgeon about cervical stenosis at C5-C6 causing arm weakness and tingling in hands.
My SI joints still pain free from steroid injection 2 months ago.
IBS under control with low FODMAP diet.
Naturalpathic Doctor, Dr Laurie Steelsmith ordered food and chemical allergy panels along with DNA test to rule out MTHFR gene defect which may be cause of my low serotonin and dopamine. Both my son and my niece are ADD and OCD so she thinks my sister and I have gene defect that we passed on to our kids. We're bringing in our kids to see doctor to get them off Prozac and adderall. She started me on some supplements and took me off lovostatin, and all medication with methylation in them.

Recipe for tea:
This is an old German remedy for healing heartburn, IBS and gut wall. Mix 2 Tablespoons of flax seeds in 4 cups of boiling water , simmer on low heat and strain. The tea is quite thick and slippery, almost like syrup and you can flavor it if you like with honey or stevia.
