Has anyone had issues with infertility? Did your doctor think it was due to fibromyalgia?

I went through the fertility meds with my last 2 children. Although I could get pregnant on my own, I went through multiple miscarriages. It wasn't until I went back to a regular gynecologist who actually listened to what I had researched that my problem was not enough progesterone support in the second half of my cycle. He agreed to give progesterone support to see what would happen. The very first month with progesterone support I got pregnant and carried my 3rd son to full term. 16 months later I became pregnant and carried my daughter to 37 weeks. I was also diagnosed as having adenomyosis prior to going to the so-called fertility experts. 2 years after my daughter was born, I went through a full hysterectomy and both ovaries were removed due to extremely heavy cycles because of the adenomyosis and migraine storms that lasted for 60+ days at a time. I was 37 when my daughter was born and 39 at the time the hysterectomy was done. However had no issues with pregnancy with my first 2 sons...I wish you the best of luck and if your specialist refuses to give progesterone support on just oral fertility meds and says they'll only do it when you reach IVF, I suggest finding a Dr that will test you for progesterone deficiency.

It's 13 years so far I been trying for a baby and I been through so many iui and one ivf that I hyperstimulated on and got a clot on my Lung aswell. Obviously wasnot ment to work then. I know I'm really ill and lots of bad conditions but I have to give it one more go by I give up and I will just hope I can get through it. It will all be worth it for what I longed for for so long.. my partner who is my full time carer is amazing bless him and I he knows I may be beyond bad but we r hoping for a blessing.. then I will be asking for it all to be taken away because I suffer so bad with monthlys and all the condition i have don't help and I seem to get even worse round that time so I want it all gone so that's one less thing to suffer through. I'm sure u be an amazing nan good luck to u sweetie..xx

Another miracle story .. amazing hun so pleased for u sweetie ... I have had the progesterone suppositories when having the ivf I think I had them with the iui aswell. I always have the injecton for of fertility treatments as the tablets didn't help at all. I didon't have 2 positive pregnancy test at age 18 and 2 weeks later had a really heavy bad period n though I had faulty tests but after talking to all the ivf specialists they say it was a pregnancy and with how late I was I would of only been around 8 weeks.. glad u had miracles LilPixiemail love stories were people didn't give up and they got what they longed for. Xx

I do remember using progesterone vaginal suppositories throughout my pregnancy. And my OB had me taking metformin which is usually given for blood sugar levels.

@A MyFibroTeam Member. Thanks for your reply. I had difficulty getting pregnant at 38 and underwent 3 IVF and monthly inseminations until I was 45. My first IVF was successful and I have one son. I was thinking that back then if I had known I had FM that maybe I could have done something else to help the fertility process. I'm 55 now and post menopause. I guess I just gotta pray for grand babies.
