it has happened to me often now that i wake up because of the pain of my hand or arm gone numb. I dont think it's the position im sleeping in because it does it in almost every potision.
I have that same problem. It is usually an arm and leg. I have to get up and move around and then lay on the other side. It can also be from your back or neck so bring it to your doctors attention.

My hands go numb and I can't sleep it is a horrible feeling
