Morning all. I have notice that there are more women on this site. Why is there so many women, doesn't men also struggle with fibro.
There are men who have it too. But researchers think some of it has to do with estrogen and its modulation of neurotransmitters. That is often why fibro gets worse in the premenstrual period and better during pregnancy (sometimes). Sadly, being women does make us more prone to it.
I think it has something to do with hormones.
80 to 90% is women. I don't think very many men could handle it. Kind of like having a baby if they had to have them there would not be many kids. LOL
I have heard it is because we tend to keep our emotions and stress inside where as men let it go.
some men do get it. before i retired i was a case worker and i did run across many men that had. it. I suppose men don't want to talk about.
