Hi, my doctor is weaning me off gabapentin just now and says next step is either pregablin or referral to the pain clinic. I don't know what to think.
Can anyone tell me about the pain clinic and what to expect or if pregablin works??
Xx
I went to a pain clinic and it was the best experience for me! My pain doctor treated me with the utmost care and compassion. He did everything he could for me to relieve my lumbar pain and my leg pain. I did 8 procedures with him and those procedures saved my sanity.
I hope you will be able to go to an equally good pain clinic and will be able to receive excellent care as well. Good luck.
I had my first appointment with the pain clinic and he discharged me :( :(
I had an ESI caudil, 3 ESI lumbar injections, 4 nerve ablations in my lumbar, 2 ESI/Nerve ablations in my SI joints.
Hi, I have been weaned off gabapentin and started pregablin 2 months ago. At the beginning I experienced a slight decrease in pain but this didn't last and I don't think their helping much currently. I've always praised pain clinics and suggested being referred to one as soon as, because they have a much wider array of treatments/therapies/medications. I think it's wrong that your doctor is making you chose either or, I'd say both. Waiting lists for pain clinics differ from location to location, but I would suggest being referred to pain clinic but in meantime starting pregablin. Hope that's an option x
Can i ask what procedures you got kimberley?
