Pain Medication
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I need some help on what helps medication wise. I ha e taken Lyrica that helped me so much but it made me gain a ton of weight in a short amount of time. My Doctor put me on Cymbalta for depression and for fibro. It is helping my depression a ton! I am on ultram to help with the pain but I am still in so much pain. I need help on what helps. I am all for vitamins aswell.

Everyone is totally different..on what there body can handle.I tried so so many medications..but did not like the side affects..so now I am on just vicodins.I take like 2 a day..one in the morning then one in the afternoon. But I am on social security now..so if my pain starts rising I sit down or lay down until the pain goes down..but if I dont take breaks ..vicodins will not work..the pain level goes to high..my electric blanket is my savior..because when I rest in-between..the heat reduces the pain level quicker...but everyone is different...hope you can find what works for you..((( Hugs )).♥

Wonder what will happen now that medical marajuana is available in some places. I've heard that the oil is successful with pain. My pain is related to the barometric pressure. If it is going down I have significantly more pain. So clearly the answer is that I should be made secretary of weather....sigh....just a dream.

I agree evey person is different. You need a dr that is willing to try non narcotic pain meds as well as narcotic. Find what works for YOU!!!!
